Seth McArdle (Samuel Davis) is a high school senior who has a lot on his plate right now. It's not just social and academic problems that he has to deal with at school. He also has to deal with his young twin sisters, who he has to look after in the absence of his dead mother and abusive father. When the bank calls with a foreclosure notice, Seth's frustrations spill over into a number of fights with the school football team. Seth is sent to work after school with Abel, the groundskeeper who is very different from the other workers (Kevin Sorbo). When the two spend more time together, they realize they have more in common than they thought. Pain and sadness are the main things they share. God likes them.
