Total Wipeout
Total Wipeout is a British game show hosted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram. 20 candidates compete each week to win £10,000. These challenges involve big pools of water or mud and assault courses to traverse. Total Wipeout is a licensed version of the 2008 Endemol show Wipeout, with the name significantly changed to avoid confusion with the BBC version of the earlier game show. On 29 March2012, BBC said it will cancel Total Wipeout after its sixth season. The Daily Mirror stated that a BBC representative said, "After four very successful series of Total Wipeout and one series of Winter Wipeout, the upcoming series will be the last." The last 10 episodes of Series 5 aired on BBC One on 18 August2012, ending the show's4-year run before 2013.
