Holocaust

Holocaust is a four-part American television miniseries that aired on the NBC network in 1978. The series portrays the narrative of the Holocaust through the eyes of the Weiss family of German Jews and a rising member of the SS who eventually becomes a cruel war criminal. The Holocaust emphasized various significant events that occurred before to and during World War II, such as Kristallnacht, the establishment of Jewish ghettos, and, later, the use of gas chambers. Although the miniseries won several prizes and gained critical praise, it was panned by some, including prominent Holocaust survivor and author Elie Wiesel, who called it "untrue and disgusting."
