Story of a Love Affair

Paola (Lucia Bose) is the younger wife of a shady manufacturing owner, Enrico Fontana. She is lovely and closely guarded (Massimo Girotti). He employs a private detective to look into her personal history, which ironically reintroduces Paola to her former boyfriend Guido, with whom she rekindles a long-dormant romance. They are drawn closer to each other in the face of adversity, and begin plotting Enrico's demise, despite the suspicions of their respective mates.
