Story of a Love Affair

Paola (Lucia Bose) is the younger wife of a shady manufacturing owner, Enrico Fontana. She is lovely and closely guarded (Massimo Girotti). He employs a private detective to look into her personal history, which ironically reintroduces Paola to her former boyfriend Guido, with whom she rekindles a long-dormant romance. They are drawn closer to each other in the face of adversity, and begin plotting Enrico's demise, despite the suspicions of their respective mates. Will the passion start to wane after the challenge of being together fades away? A masterwork of intensity and deftly crafted emotion.
