14 Blades
The Jinyiwei had been trained in clandestine combat since childhood, and they were masters of the 14 Blades: eight for torture, five for killing, and one for suicide if a mission failed. The Jinyiwei were an elite force of secret agents with a license to kill who dedicated their lives and lethal prowess to the Emperor alone. When evil eunuch Jia (Law Kar Ying) takes over the Imperial Court, the best of the Jinyiwei, Qinglong (Donnie Yen), is assigned to steal a list identifying those still loyal to the Emperor. However, Qinglong is unaware that the Jinyiwei have fallen under Jia's control, and during the mission, Qinglong is betrayed and barely escapes with his life. As the most wanted man in the country, Qinglong must find and rally loyalists to rise up against Jia and restore the Emperor to power. His former brethren, the Jinyiwei, are the land's deadliest assassins.
