Wheels is a film about the constraints that are placed on those working in the automotive sector on a daily basis and is based on the novel written by Arthur Hailey in 1971. The storylines reflect many of the current hot-button subjects, such as racial tensions, the politics of corporations, and ethical considerations in the workplace. Some of the characters in the book will be instantly identifiable to employees working at Ford Motor Company, which serves as the inspiration for the fictional automobile manufacturer in the story.
