Tribal
Attempting to salvage political face under the guise of inclusion and partnership, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has taken control of the Tribal Police Force that controls the four Indian Reservations that surround the city. Samantha Woodburn, the Interim Tribal Chief, is attempting to overcome political red tape while simultaneously proving herself among the old-white-boys club of the Metropolitan Police Department. With her new partner, Chuck "Buke" Bukansky, an experienced but broken-down Metro Police investigator, she must navigate politics and procedure as she adjusts to life in a strange new world. In "Tribal," First Nation criminal stories are examined in the context of real-world cases, including mistaken identification, pipeline dispute, healing lodge justice, social services, tobacco, and missing Indigenous Peoples.
