Time Team is a British television programme that has been on British Channel 4 since 1994. Every three-day archeological excavation had a team of experts led by actor Tony Robinson and hosted by producer Tim Taylor, who explained the procedure to the audience in simple terms. Experts like Mick Aston and Carenza Lewis have been part of this team since the beginning, while the rest of the squad has evolved throughout time. There have been digs at sites dating back as far as the Paleolithic and into the Second World War. As recently as October2012, Channel 4 reported that the last series would air in 2013. Several specials will air in 2014 in addition to the episodes that were shown during Series 20 (which aired from January to March of 2013).
