The Oblongs
The Oblongs is an animated American TV show for older teens and adults. It is loosely based on a group of characters from the picture book Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children by the show's creator, Angus Oblong. The TV show was made by Warner Bros. Television, Jobsite Productions, and Mohawk Productions. They Might Be Giants wrote and performed the theme song for the show. The thirteen episodes of The Oblongs were shown on The WB from April1,2001, to May20,2001, and then on Adult Swim from August25,2002, to October20, 2002. There have been rumors that a show might come back with new episodes on Adult Swim, but nothing has been confirmed. On October4,2005, all thirteen episodes of The Oblongs were put out on DVD.
