The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice is a British television show that is produced by the BBC and filmed at The London Studios. It is a spin-off from the reality TV hit series The Great British Bake Off, which airs on BBC One. The name of the show is sometimes shortened to simply An Extra Slice. The host, Jo Brand, is joined on the show each week by three different celebrities who are avid bakers. Jo discusses the highlights, lowlights, and soggy bottomed moments from the previous week's broadcast. She also includes previously unseen material from the BBC One show and an interview with the baker who was ousted from the competition. The audience in the studio is given the task of baking something related to the week's subject at home and can bring in anything from bread to pastries to cakes; also, viewers are encouraged to contribute images of their own creations.
