The Good Wife
As a former lawyer who decided to become a housewife and mother, Kyoko Hasumi (Takako Tokiwa) is the protagonist of the film. A top-notch prosecutor is her husband's career. Corruption charges against him led to his detention as head of a special investigation unit at the Tokyo District Prosecutor's Office. We also learn about another woman's involvement in an affair. A sea change is afoot for Kyoko Hasumi in her role as a "nice wife". Her children's safety is paramount, so she re-enters the workforce as a lawyer. First time in 16 years she is working as a lawyer again after being employed for the time being at an attorney's office.
