Danny Confino works for the police department on a full-time basis during one of the most difficult periods in their history. A time during which its reputation is at an all-time low, officers are removed from their posts once per week, commanders harass subordinates twice per week, budgets are slashed, and the Department of Internal Affairs (DIP) receives an increasing number of complaints from the public. He goes back to his parents' house with the intention of living there temporarily, but eventually the temporary turns into permanent, and Danny realizes that life at home is superior to life at any crime scene.
