The Gentle Touch
The Gentle Touch is a British television police drama that was produced by London Weekend Television for ITV between the years 1980 and 1984. The series aired for a total of ten seasons. The first episode of the series aired on April11,1980, and it is remarkable for being the first British series to feature a female police investigator as its main character. This achievement put it four months ahead of the BBC series Juliet Bravo, which was based on a similar premise.
