The Comeback

At first, the show is about Valerie Cherish, a veteran sitcom actress who hasn't been in the spotlight for more than a decade. In 2005, she tries to get back into the business that made her famous. Valerie gets a part on a new network sitcom, but she struggles with the fact that she is getting older and less important in a Hollywood that is getting younger, all while her every move on and off the set is being filmed for a reality show. When the cameras find Valerie in2014, she is cast in an HBO show called "Seeing Red," which is about the career of the writer and producer of a sitcom who made her life miserable nine years earlier.
