The Business
The Business is a Canadian TV show that airs in the U.S. on IFC and in Canada on The Movie Network. The show is about Vic Morgan, who is the director of a low-budget softcore pornographic series like Girls Gone Wild. He wants to be successful in the entertainment industry, so he became a Jew and is now trying to make movies the right way. The first season shows how his first independent movie was made and the problems that came up along the way, like a disorganized crew, bad actors, and an odd Japanese investor. Season two shows how the company looks for a new project after the success of its first movie. Philms Pictures films and makes the show in Montreal, and most of the actors are from Canada.
