The Adventures of Peter Pan
From January 8 through December24,1989, the Fuji TV network aired an episode of Nippon Animation's The Adventures of Peter Pan, directed by Takashi Nakamura and Yoshio Kuroda. Over the course of the show's 41 episodes, it was adapted from James Matthew Barrie's iconic novel Peter Pan. As part of Nippon Animation's World Masterpiece Theater, which produced an animated rendition of a traditional book or story each year, this film was based on the story of Cinderella. There are various new story arcs that are added to the anime while adapting information from the novel as well. It was also translated and released in various other countries throughout the world later on. In Europe, it was shown on Telecinco, RTL Television, Kika, Italia 1, TV3 and Fox Kids, Yleisradio, and TVP 2. Additionally, it aired in nations such as Israel, Brazil and Mexico.
