After the execution of the actual North Korean commander Jang Sung-taek, the fictional narrative begins. Park Hye-rim, a former spy who has spent decades living as a housewife in South Korea, is reactivated one day by an order from North Korea. She has been tasked with bringing in her own son, Kim Seonu. Seonu, a North Korea information analyst for the NIS, is a genius with a level head and quick mind. Seonu fell in love with his lover Yoon-jin, a tour guide for Chinese visitors who do not know Chinese, after he helped her translate. Hye-rim is forced to choose between her kid and her country, and she sacrifices her life to carry out her decision.
