Route 66 is an American television programme in which two young guys drove across the country in a Chevrolet Corvette sports car. It broadcast on CBS every Friday from October 7, 1960 until March 20, 1964. Tod Stiles was played by Martin Milner, and Buz Murdock was played by George Maharis for the first two and a half seasons. It was Maharis' illness in the third season that allowed Tod to travel alone. With Lincoln Case (Glenn Corbett), Tod stayed with him through to the end of Season 4. RTV and Me-TV are both currently airing episodes of the show. Corvette convertible and the instrumental theme music were two of the show's most memorable features, which became a pop sensation.
