Romanzo Criminale – La serie is an Italian television series that is based on the eponymous novel written by judge Giancarlo De Cataldo. It is the second adaptation of the film Romanzo Criminale, which was directed by Michele Placido. Romanzo Criminale – La serie premiered in Italy on Sky Italia on October 1, 2017. It didn't take long for the first season to earn cult status in Italy. After "Quo Vadis, Baby?," this is the second fictional series to be published. that was produced by Sky and aired with English subtitles on Fox Crime, Sky One, and Sky Arts in 2012 on Sky. The events of the series take place in Rome between 1977 and 1989 and focus on a criminal organization that controls almost all of the heroin business in the city. The Romanesco dialect is used by the majority of the characters. Libanese, Freddo, and Dandi are three longtime buddies who are at the helm of the group. In addition to its internal strife, the gang must contend with the Camorra and the Sicilian Mafia, both of which are sources of heroin for the gang, as well as the police, which are led by Commissioner Scialoja, and the Italian secret services. The storyline is inspired by the Banda della Magliana from the 1970s to the 1990s.
