Remington Steele
Remington Steele is a fictional character on American television. Romantic comedy, drama, and detective procedural were all combined in this series. Remington Steele is well recognized for starting Pierce Brosnan's career and serving as a precursor to Moonlighting. Laura Holt, a licensed private detective played by Stephanie Zimbalist, launched her own detective firm under her own name, but potential clients refused to hire a woman, no matter how qualified she was, according to Remington Steele's theory. Laura creates a male superior, Remington Steele, to remedy the problem. Pierce Brosnan's character, a former robber and con man whose true name is never disclosed, acquires the guise of Remington Steele through a series of events that unravel in the first episode, "License to Steele." Laura continues to be in charge behind the scenes.
