Years ago, the deadly pirate ruler Gol D. Roger was executed, leaving behind a massive mound of gold and the famed "One Piece." The winner of the "One Piece" will be crowned the new pirate king. Monkey D. Luffy, a youngster who eaten one of the "Devil's Fruits," believes he will follow in the footsteps of his idol, the pirate Shanks, and find the One Piece. Of course, his body is made of rubber, and he's surrounded by a slew of talented fighters and thieves to assist him.
