Follow the lives of aspiring Iraqi-Australian boxing trainer Amirah Al-Amir, who has spent her entire life looking up to her world champion boxer father Sami. Amirah negotiates a professional debut match for her hard-nosed fighter Jess O'Connor with Sami's long-time promoter Strick as she and her two brothers are working in the family gym in the western suburbs of Sydney. Her father is fuming over the fact that she has done this behind his back, and he has threatened to cut her off financially.
