Never Better
Never Better is a British sitcom that premiered on BBC Two on January10, 2008. It stars Stephen Mangan as Keith Merchant, a recovering alcoholic, and Kate Ashfield as Anita, his suffering wife. Fintan Ryan (World Productions) wrote the series. The show has been likened to previous sitcoms such as Lead Balloon and Curb Your Enthusiasm and has been regarded as a dark comedy. However, some have claimed that the show is too similar to comparable shows, and have criticized Keith's character for not being amusing. Viewers were not impressed with the programme, with the first season receiving an average audience of less than one million viewers per episode.
