Martin

Martin is an American sitcom created by HBO Independent Productions and broadcast on Fox for five seasons, beginning on August 27, 1992 and ending on May 1, 1997. Martin Lawrence, Tichina Arnold, Thomas Mikal Ford, Carl Anthony Payne II, and Tisha Campbell play supporting roles in the show, which is also named after him. During the sitcom's five-season run, Martin was one of Fox's highest-rated programs, a reflection of the network's increasing popularity during the 1990s. In the 1990s, African American and Latino viewers flocked to Fox's Thursday night lineup of Martin, Living Single, and New York Undercover, in contrast to NBC's "Must See TV" During the 1996–1997 season, these were the three shows with the greatest ratings among black households.
