Kevin Brophy, John Randolph, and Don Gordon starred in ABC's drama Lucan, which ran from 1977 to 1978. Lucan is a 20-year-old man who was raised by wolves and spent the first 10 years of his life running wild in the forest. He is taken to a research institute and taught how to live in human society. During his way to civilization, he made a friend in a friendly research scientist. Once his medical buddy and mentor is harmed, Lucan's independence at the research center is under jeopardy. Because his friend can't ensure Lucan's safety while he's at the institute, he urges him to go on his own in quest of his true identity. New social skills and traditional Wolfen instincts helped Lucan handle a variety of difficulties and intrigues in the short-lived television series. The particular Wolfen abilities Lucan possessed were only activated when he became enraged. His eyes blazed amber when he was on the verge of violence. He also had better senses of smell and hearing. He was able to enlist the aid of his former wolf pack in a couple episodes. This series was based on a movie made for TV in 1977 with the same name that was directed by David Greene.
