Little Britain USA is a spin-off and continuation of HBO's British sketch show Little Britain. Matt Lucas and David Walliams reprise their roles as Lou and Andy, Daffyd Thomas, Sebastian Love, Marjorie Dawes, and Vicky Pollard, as well as new characters not seen in the British series. Filming for the first season began in Wilmington, North Carolina in March 2008. On September 28, 2008, HBO aired the first episode of the season in the United States; the same day, The Movie Network aired it in Canada, followed by BBC One on October 3 in the United Kingdom. Rachael Harris, Bob Stephenson, Paul Rudd, Hilarie Burton, Vivica A. Fox, and Sting have all joined the cast as new guest actors. Michael Patrick Jann directed the majority of the episodes and served as the series' executive producer. David Schwimmer directed the show's studio parts. In a "Fat Fighters" segment, Rosie O'Donnell also appears. 2entertain released the series on DVD in the UK in August 2009.
