Martin Odum, who works for the FBI's Deep Cover Operations division, has the ability to transform himself into a different person in order to complete his assignments. Some of the identities he has assumed include those of a Serbian extremist, a corrupt Chicago police officer, a British special forces colonel, and a famous computer hacker. However, when he discovers that his entire existence may be a fabrication, he must balance the requirements of his employment with the urge to find answers to the questions surrounding his identity. When faced with a selection between two options, Odum does not always select the option that is in the best interest of the group. The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning novel "Legends" was adapted for the television show "Legends" by the same team that brought you "Homeland."
