Invisible Heroes is a film about the bravery of young Finnish diplomats in Chile during the notorious military revolution of 1973. Tapani Brotherus and Ilkka Jaamala of Finland, as well as Tapani's wife Lysa Brotherus, assisted nearly 2000 Chileans fleeing the military junta's persecution. The Finns acted without official permission, whereas Swedish ambassador Harald Edelstam was the most apparent human rights violator, with the support of Sweden's Prime Minister, Olof Palme.
