Interceptor
Jacques Antoine, Jean Jacques Pasquier, and Malcolm Heyworth developed the British game show Interceptor. It was produced by Chatsworth in partnership with Thames and shown on ITV over the summer of1989, with one episode held back for a special New Year's Day broadcast on January1, 1990. It was produced between the game shows Treasure Hunt and The Crystal Maze by the same production group. Annabel Croft, a former tennis player and Treasure Hunt sky-runner, hosted the episode. Sean O'Kane as the titular Interceptor in the film. Critics and viewers praised Interceptor, but only eight episodes were produced. Nonetheless, the show has a cult-like following, which encouraged Challenge's decision to air reruns beginning in 2001. In2002, UKGameshows.com's public vote ranked the series as the thirteenth best game show in the United Kingdom.
