In the Red

A string of bank boss assassinations has thrown London into chaos, all the way up to Parliament. And the killer makes regular phone calls describing his deeds, but exclusively to a streetwise, and often tipsy, radio reporter who is set to be fired for his recurrent hostility toward his station and the BBC. While everything appears to point to a lead singer of a rock band known for their song "In The Red," which has been linked to the murders, there are also other sub-plots to explore, in typical British mystery manner.
