Food Safari is an Australian TV show that first aired on SBS TV Australia. It shows the many foods that immigrants brought to Australia. The series was made by Kismet Productions in collaboration with SBS TV Australia. Each episode is hosted by Maeve O'Meara, and it focuses on the food of a different culture. It usually starts with common ingredients and where to get them in Australia, then moves on to how to make and eat popular favorites, basic dishes, and desserts. After the third season aired in2008, the show was put on hold. In2010, O'Meara and chef Guy Grossi hosted a new show called Italian Food Safari. In2011, O'Meara and chef Guillaume Brahimi hosted a second spin-off show called French Food Safari. Food Safari has been picked up for a fourth season, which will start airing on February14, 2013.
