John Robson is a federal prosecutor who lives with his young family in Sherman Oaks. He is driven, smart, and has good instincts. Robson is very sure that all the criminal groups in L.A. are connected and that there is one overlord who, if caught, will bring them all down. Even though the FBI stopped helping him and he had some doubts, assistant prosecutor Diana Palos, and even though his wife is putting more and more pressure on him to spend more time with his family, Robson won't back down from his conviction. He set the wheels in motion, not for the first time, to try to get to the top through one of the middlemen, Lucas Reynosa. Robson is brutally beaten, shot in the head, thrown into the river, and left for dead before he can close the deal with Reynosa. When he comes out of the coma, he is a new man with an old goal: Eddie Pray.
