Doctor Who Confidential is a documentary series made by the British Broadcasting Corporation to go with the revival of the long-running British science fiction TV show Doctor Who. Each episode was shown on BBC Three on Saturdays, right after the weekly episode on BBC One. The first two series ran for 30 minutes, but the third one ran for 45. BBC Three also showed a 15-minute version of the show that was cut down. It was shown after the repeats on Sundays and Fridays and after the repeats of earlier seasons on weekday evenings. Confidential shows behind-the-scenes footage of the making of Doctor Who, including clips and interviews with the cast, production crew, and other people who have worked on the show over the years. It is said to focus on the human side of the show. Each episode is about something different, and most of the time it talks about the episode that came before it. Aside from showing Doctor Who episodes, there have been two other episodes of Doctor Who Confidential. In November2006, an episode called "Music and Monsters" went behind the scenes of a televised concert of soundtrack music made for that year's Children in Need appeal, and on January3,2009, a special episode was shown to announce the actor who would play the Eleventh Doctor.
