On the Discovery Channel in the United States, the documentary television series Curiosity made its debut on August7,2011, for the first time. Each episode examines a different topic related to science, technology, and society and is hosted by a different well-known personality. Stephen Hawking served as the host for the first episode of the series, which was titled "Did God Create the Universe?" and was broadcast simultaneously on seven of the Discovery Communications networks: Discovery Channel, TLC, Discovery Fit and Health, Animal Planet, Science, and Investigation Discovery. Planet Green was the seventh network. There are a total of sixteen episodes in the first season.
