Blue Water High
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and Austar/Foxtel Nickelodeon channel in Australia, as well as numerous channels in many other countries, broadcast the Australian drama series Blue Water High. Students at Solar Blue, a high-performance surf academy in Sydney's northern beaches where several fortunate 16-year-olds are picked for a 12-month surfing program, are the focus of each season. Blue Water High has three series. There were no plans to make a third series after the first two were aired in 2005 and 2006. In the end, they gave in to fan pressure and produced one more show with only Kate Bell returning as a key character. In the final episode of series three, Solar Blue was shut down, indicating that the show would probably not be renewed.
