In convenience stores and supermarkets all around Japan, a titanic war takes place every day: the fight for bento boxes sold at a discount. As soon as the discount tags are applied, famished combatants begin throwing fists in a knockdown, drag-out battle over who will get to take home the inexpensive food. After joining the Half-Priced Food Lovers Club, a young high school student by the name of Sato who is struggling financially reveals himself to be a rising talent in the realm of insane food fights. But does he possess the skills necessary to become the master chef of clearing food? A very different take on the Hunger Games has been directed by the same person who was behind Black Cat.
