An international reality television series called "Beautiful and the Geek" airs in the United States and is syndicated. Described as "The Ultimate Social Experiment," it is co-produced by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg. When two teams, one made up of "Beauties" and the other, are put together, they compete against one another for $250,000 in prize money and other benefits. When competing, each beauty and her geek share a room for their whole time in the competition. Each episode features a different set of challenges, some focusing on academics while others pit the geeks against each other in a more social setting. The winners of the challenges choose two teams to compete against each other in a pure "quiz show" type question and answer session: the team with the fewest accurate answers is eliminated.
