Attack on Titan

Humans were nearly wiped out by Titans hundreds of years ago. Titans are often many stories tall, appear to be devoid of intelligence, consume humans, and, worst of all, appear to do so for the fun of it rather than as a source of nourishment. A small proportion of mankind managed to survive by enclosing themselves in a city surrounded by walls that were taller than the Titans themselves. In the modern day, the city hasn't seen a Titan in more than a century. The city walls are devastated by a Colossal Titan that comes out of thin air, and Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something awful. The two children watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive and the smaller Titans overrun the city. Eren swears that he will assassinate every single Titan and exact vengeance on humanity as a whole.
