American High

American High is an American documentary television series that follows the lives of fourteen students at Highland Park High School in the Illinois community of Highland Park. The series originally aired on Fox for four episodes before being canceled. It was then picked up by PBS and broadcast in its entirety. R. J. Cutler, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, created the series. The program was awarded the 2001 Emmy for Outstanding Non-Fiction Program. Bouncing Souls composed and performed the theme song "American High" Yearbook, a 1991 documentary series on the Fox Network, similarly chronicled the lives of high school students in the suburbs of Chicago.
