Rachael Ray has a Food Network show called 30 Minute Meals. Her first of four Food Network episodes premiered in the fall of 2001. The show focuses on quick and easy cuisine for folks who don't have much time to cook. The show is recorded live-to-tape, with Ray doing practically all of the preparation in real time. In 2006, the show was nominated for an Emmy for Best Daytime Service Show. The production of new versions of old foods, some of which are generally slow to cook, is a recurring theme on the show. Ray concentrates on preparing meals in less than 30 minutes. Ray has also produced two shows titled Thanksgiving in60, which are based on the concept of a one-hour Thanksgiving supper. Ray begins each episode by saying "Hello, my name is Rachael Ray, and I make 30-minute meals. That means I'll have cooked a great and healthy supper from start to finish in the time it takes you to watch this program."
