Nisha, a sixteen-year-old high school student, has a double existence. As a Pakistani daughter, she is the ideal daughter, but when she is out with her pals, she is just like any other Norwegian teenager. It is when her father finds Nisha in bed with her boyfriend that their worlds come crashing down. Nisha's parents plan to kidnap her and send her to live with relatives in Pakistan in order to set a good example for her younger siblings. Nisha is compelled to conform to her parents' culture because she is in a nation she has never visited before.
