Lucky Jackson arrives in town with his car literally in tow, eager to compete in the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix-once he has the necessary funds to purchase an engine, of course. He quickly obtains the funds, but he loses track of them when he is distracted by the attractive swimming pool manager. He appears to be on his way to losing both the race and the girl, a situation made more difficult by rivalry with Elmo Mancini, a fellow racer and womanizer.
