In late spring1890, Vincent comes to Auvers-sur-Oise near Paris and lives in a small inn under Dr. Gachet's care. Vincent kills himself 70 days later. See Vincent painting landscapes and portraits. His brother, wife, and baby visit Auvers. Vincent is amusing and attractive, attracting Gachet's daughter Marguerite, a young inn maid, a Parisian prostitute, and Johanna. Shortly before his death, Vincent visits Paris, quarrels with Theo, disparages his own art and accomplishments, and is warm then cold to Marguerite.
