Rose meets Tom Novak at Payden Farms — a handsome "flower broker" who acts as a link between the farm and local distributors — and learns that the farm is financially struggling and her parents are considering selling it to a nasty competitor. Tom arranges for Frank to enter his most unique tulip in an upcoming flower event in the intention of earning national attention and creating business as a last-ditch effort. However, when Frank's flowers are inexplicably sabotaged, Rose is left scrambling to revive them in time for the competition. Along the way, she comes to appreciate her lowly origins, reconciles with Frank, and falls head over heels in love with Tom. With time running out, Rose must rediscover her green thumb in order to save her family's farm and decide whether to stay in Los Angeles or return to her small town.
