This Property Is Condemned

Owen Legate, a railroad executive, travels to Dodson, Mississippi with the goal of shutting down much of the town's railway (which is the town's primary source of revenue). Owen is surprised when he falls in love with Alva Starr, Dodson's flirt and major attraction. As a result, Alva and Owen attempt to get away from the clutches of Alva's mother (Hazel) as well as the wrath of the town.
