The Vagabond

Charlie departs for the country after passing the hat and collecting donations for German street musicians. He discovers and rescues a young woman from a band of gypsies here. The girl falls in love with an artist whose image the girl's true mother subsequently sees in a shop. The mother and artist arrive in a chauffeured automobile and make an offer to Charlie for his services, which he declines.
