The Sugarland Express
Lou-Jean and Clovis Poplin, two small-time criminals who are married, lose their child to the state of Texas and vow to do whatever it takes to get him back. In addition to kidnapping a highway patrolman, Lou-Jean frees Clovis from prison and abducts their son from his foster home. As a vast dragnet begins to pursue them throughout Texas, the pair becomes improbable folk heroes and begins to develop a rapport with the captured officer.
