The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Balthazar Blake is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan, fighting his arch-enemy, Maxim Horvath. Balthazar realizes he can't do it alone, so he enlists the help of Dave Stutler, an apparently ordinary man with hidden abilities, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his reluctant assistant a crash lesson in the art and science of magic, and the two unlikely allies fight together to defeat the forces of darkness.
