There is a strong possibility that writer-director Carol Lai had some Black Swan ambitions with a story that also revolves around a stage practitioner who finds herself on an unwittingly destructive journey when she is cast in a role that must be played to the death. The film's Chinese title, Romance Riddle, may provide light on the film's development as a guessing game rather than an overly romantic picture about twins falling in love with a man who decides it's totally fine to drag both ladies along until he realizes that this signals double problems.
